Responsibilities

The Clinical Director oversees and directs the development of all client treatment plans and programming for our Louisiana programs. This role is also responsible for the clinical supervision of staff and clinical direction of the programs.

 

• Analyze data to evaluate, revise and develop systems and procedures to enhance
operations and clinical effectiveness of designated sites
• Supervises or provides support to therapists in areas of specialty in other designated
programs (e.g., supervision of psychologists for licensing hours)
• Responsible to lead or supervise all groups in designated programs
• Manages the performance appraisal process for RCM’s, therapists and provides input
on clinical competency for all staff on performance appraisals
• Constantly evaluate systems and procedures to look for more efficient and effective
ways to run programs and develop other services and new program ideas
• Responsible for program evaluation/quality assessment systems; tracking, completion
and timeliness
• Responsible for the ongoing clinical direction and management of each client's program
• Direct provision of therapy specialty to programs when appropriate
• Responsible for final version of all reports, including necessary signatures on
assessments, reports and treatment plan
• In residential programs, gives approval for 30 days of treatment for any needed clinical
services (check approval through insurance carriers first)
• Coordinates internal admissions (through transfers) and discharges; provides for
carryover of needed systems and strategies
• Coordinates beeper coverage with Program Directors and must be available for and
notified of all crisis situations
• Acts as liaison with family and funders to provide education, to document necessity of
treatment needs, etc. Reviews all files prior to intake evaluations and makes final
approval on all admissions in designated programs
• Performs intake evaluations and writes report promptly
• Responsible for overall assessment and development of the client's programs within two
days after admission.
• Participates and monitors completion of all program evaluation/quality assessment
systems in a timely manner
• Involvement in program development (who runs groups and trains/supervises staff in
curricula used in groups) in designated programs and for the company as a whole
• Assure implementation of other governing policies and procedures (CARF, etc)
• Develop and monitor annual budget in collaboration with Program Director and other
members of ReMed’s management team as necessary

Qualifications

Requirements:
● License and/or advanced degree in clinical management, PT/OT/ST, nursing, mental
health, behavior or rehabilitation is required
● 5+ years experience in brain injury or related neuro rehabilitation preferred
● Superior planning, organizational, writing, speaking and time management skills
● Excellent leadership, supervisory skills, communication skills, and proven administrative
skills required
● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with families, professionals and all staff is required
● Exceptional clinical skills as shown by the ability to resolve crisis situations, evaluate
client needs, formulate and monitor treatment
